Welcome to Kelly Croucher Counselling at The Oast
What is counselling and what to expect
There are many modes of counselling, and I am a person-centred counsellor. This approach puts you at the centre of the counselling process and recognises that you are the expert on yourself and will help empower you to find the answers within you. I am able to include other ways of working that are most appropriate for each individual client and their issues. Our sessions will be led by you. We could reflect on what may or may not be working for you in your life by taking a look at feelings, sensations and thoughts.
It's ok to not have the answers or understand the emotions you are experiencing. I offer a safe space for you to express yourself and will help you to make the change necessary to move forward with your life. I know it can feel very daunting to come and see a counsellor for the first time and it's perfectly normal to feel nervous (I know it was for me) but once you begin to talk, it can be a relief to tell someone how you are feeling.
